David draws on his wide and long experience as a Professional Actor as well as professional workshop leader and facilitator in Executive Presence courses globally.

He has performed for the National Theatre in London’s West End and worked with Shakespeare extensively at Shakespeare’s Globe, The Duke’s Theatre Lancaster, The Original Shakespeare Company,  The English Shakespeare Company, Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre and more.

Stepping in with just two days’ notice, due to another provider withdrawing at the last minute, in October 2014 David ran two Full Shakespeare Days - for 180 Y10 and 75 Y9 students at the Cowes Enterprise Academy on the Isle of Wight.

Choral Speaking Workshops David will bring to life a speech or range of speeches, involving a whole class in their delivery, setting the moods and delving into the history and traditions of choral speaking. These can be from Shakespeare or any other play. At the end of the workshop each class will have a performance piece of their own in development, which they can perform to each other or develop and work on further, building team-work, expressiveness, full engagement and far deeper understanding of Shakespeare’s amazing works. Some years ago, the UK Government announced that by the end of their schooling each pupil should have studied at least one Shakespeare play. A commentator replied “I disagree! They shouldn’t study them - they should see them, experience them or best of all be in them..!” In one day David can ignite this process in an unforgettable workshop..! David will be happy to work on whatever speeches you wish. Thank you again for your hard work and all the passion and energy you shared with us on Monday.
